Horror Story of 2020
I want to tell you of a story a scary story that crippled the entire world in fear for the better part of a year.
This story happened from across a great pond where people were getting sick and the officials were downplaying the sickness to, most likely, cover their own hides. Now fast forward a year, more than 2 Million sick and hundreds of dead, and what have we learned? Where do we go from here? How can we prevent ourselves from getting sick? Well this blog post will attempt to answer these questions.
What have we learned?
This highly contagious virus acts like the common flu, but to be honest I am not an immunologist so I can only say what everyone know. This virus “acts” like the flu but it is like on “steroids” which (depends on who you talk to) will make you suffer like nothing else before and can kill you. The good thing is that it is easy to avoid. Like wash your hands, wear a mask, the whole social distance thing I’m still on the fence with to be honest, cough in your sleeve if your need to sneeze, if your sick stay home. You know all the normal things you will do if you catch a virus.
Where do we go from here?
This is simple. Where do we go? Forward. Don’t look back it’s done, and we can’t change that, tomorrow may never come so all we have is right here, right now. So, embrace the now. In the beginning of the year we heard of a virus in a far away land that was getting people sick, people were being locked in their homes, not allowed to see their friends and family and we all thought “that could never happen here. It’s too far away.” Then it came. And then we were locked in our homes as some of our friends and family members were getting sick and a few of them died. And now we have this looming fear of the past on us. But don’t worry. If it does come back, at least we know how to deal with it.
How can we prevent ourselves from getting sick?
I’m not going to tell you not to travel. Last month I was in London, England and the rest of the UK myself. But there are things that you can do. Like prep your immune system by fortifying it with Zinc, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, exercise, and being careful like washing your hands, you will give yourself the tools for your immune system to fight off whatever nature throws at you.
With all that we have been through this past year I am sure that all of us no matter where ae were and currently are, are a million times better than we were and we are stronger because of it. And just like any horror story it always ends with a happy ending. So, let’s end off this nightmare in 2020 St with killing off the bad guy (CoVid-19) and move on with our lives.
