This whole month I am looking at how cleanses can actually help you out in the long run.
There is a misconception out there that you should not be exercising while you are doing a cleanse. I will discuss this further in a couple of weeks in the F & F section, but for this week I want to tackle somethings that you should consider that can help you with your results and living a longer, happier, and healthier life.
Last week I dove into the three top (my top, just to be clear) cleanses that you can do to help you get and keep the results that you have worked so hard over the months and years. This week we are going to scratch the surface on why those cleanses are so effective and why you should or should not be exercising during those cleanses, and when you combine these together they can be a force to be reckoned with.
It is true that there are some cleanses that it is a good idea to either limit or all out avoid any physical activity. Take the Master Cleanse for example, this cleanse is so intense that you might not have enough strength to walk on some days. You will have a short burst of energy, but your strength will simply not be there. So, hitting the gym floor is not the smartest thing to do. If you do decide to do this cleanse my suggestion is short walks right after you “eat” your mix and avoid the gym floor for the 10 days. Now the Orthodox cleanse on the other hand, there is no rhyme or reason why you cannot exercise. You are getting your nutrients and minerals, all your vitamins and all your macronutrients even when you are fasting for the 40-day period you have selected. So, go hit the gym floor and you might surprise yourself at the strength you have.
If you decide to do the Prune Juice cleanse. Well you will have the strength, and the energy, but to be blunt and totally honest with you all, you will not have the time. You are going to spend most of the day in the bathroom because it’s all going to come out stuff that has been in there for decades, that’s coming out. You may think you are having gas? It’s not. Don’t trust it. It’s not going to be a fun day. Just make sure you drink plenty of water, so you stay hydrated. Even that will come straight out. But when you get back to the gym you will see drastic change in body composition and strength.
All these three cleanses give you the strength, clarity, and change in body composition because it gives your body the chance to reset to what it is supposed to be like from the beginning. When we do that we allow us to live better, happier, healthier, and longer lives.
